Bus driver charged over fatal Queensland crash

A Queensland bus driver has been charged over the death of a teenager from a fatal crash in February.

The 19-year-old, Casey Stinson, died in hospital after the bus overturned and crashed into a ditch at Cannon Valley, near Airlie Beach, in north Queensland in February.

A further 10 passengers suffered injuries from the crash, including one who lost an arm.

A 70-year-old man from Cannonvale was charged yesterday with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

He is due to face Proserpine Magistrates Court on October 24.
