Burning truck sets off early Australia Day fireworks show

A truck carrying fireworks in Melbourne has exploded into flames, sending pyrotechnics shooting into the sky.

The truck was driving through Williams Landing when it caught fire, igniting the Australia Day fireworks.

A passing motorist stopped to film the light show, with a huge fireball visible in the distance, the fireworks jetting into the sky.

It is not clear what started the fire or whether anyone was injured in the fire.
