Burning garbage truck dumps entire load on suburban street

An entire load of rubbish was dumped on the roadway in a suburban street in Sydney’s inner-west after a garbage truck caught on fire.

The driver was travelling along Barker Rd in Strathfield before a bystander sought his attention to let him know that there was smoke coming from the rear compactor.

The entire load of rubbish inside the truck was dumped onto the road before the fire brigade was called.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended the fire and was able to extinguish the blaze before it spread throughout the truck.

The road has now been closed and representatives from the company are working to clear up the rubbish on the residential street.
