Brough denies Roy contact

Special Minister of State Mal Brough has denied discussing issues surrounding James Ashby with fellow Liberal MP Wyatt Roy.
Federal police are investigating whether Mr Brough asked Mr Ashby - a then staffer to ex-Speaker Peter Slipper - to procure copies of his employer's office diary.
Mr Ashby said in a media interview that Mr Roy advised him to copy the diary as he put together a legal case against Mr Slipper.

Asked in parliament on Thursday whether he had ever talked to Mr Roy about the matter, Mr Brough said: "No."
