British tourist dies while diving off Port Douglas

A British tourist has died during a diving trip at Agincourt Reef, north of Cairns this afternoon.
The man, aged in his 60s, was reportedly found on the sea floor without a regulator during a certified scuba dive with another person at the reef, just before 1pm.

Crew on-board the vessel attempted to revive him with a defibrillator, and contacted emergency services.
The man died at the scene.
It comes as two french tourists died after suffering medical episodes while snorkelling near Michaelmas Cay on Wednesday.
