Woman hit by train at Brisbane level crossing

A woman is dead after being struck by a train at a level crossing in Brisbane’s east.
The 70-year-old was walking across the Kianawah Road crossing at Lindum Station in Wynnum West at about 5.10pm, when it was indicated as safe to do so.
9News understands a trolley she was wheeling became stuck, and she was struck by a train and killed.

Police are investigating and appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Locals who spoke to 9News this morning say the intersection was notoriously dangerous and in need of an upgrade.
