Brisbane stabbing suspect at large after manhunt puts streets in lockdown

The hunt continues for a dangerous fugitive wanted over a vicious stabbing in Queensland’s south-west.

Marcus Richardson is accused of stabbing a man in the neck during a home invasion on Todd Street, Taringa, on Monday.

After receiving a tip-off today, authorities put the streets into lockdown and told residents to hide inside.

“They told me to stay inside because there were police dogs coming,” one resident told 9NEWS.

“It was very scary,” another added.

A description of the suspect was also blared from a loud speaker on the police helicopter.

Despite the extensive search, police were unable to find Mr Richardson; police now believe today’s tip-off may have been inaccurate.

The accused is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 180 centimetres tall with a thin build, slightly balding brown hair and blue eyes.
