'Tragedy' as woman shot dead in unit near Brisbane
Detectives are questioning an 18-year-old man after a 29-year-old woman was shot dead in a unit complex near Brisbane overnight.
Police were called to a unit on Grant Road in Morayfield, Moreton Bay near Brisbane, about 12.10am after a neighbour heard a gunshot, Detective Inspector David Harbison said.
Officers and paramedics arrived to find a "very confronting" scene, with the woman having been shot in the upper body.

"It was an absolute tragedy and very hard on first responders," Inspector Harbison said.
She died at the scene despite paramedics trying to save her.
An 18-year-old Morayfield man found at the scene has spent the day speaking with police.
Inspector Harbison said police were trying to establish the connection between him and the victim, who are believed to have known each other, but were not in a romantic relationship.

He said police were also trying to work out why the pair were alone at the unit, with them not believed to have lived there.
Detectives were at the crime scene this morning searching bins at a nearby daycare centre.
The gun used is yet to be found.
No charges have been laid.
