Brisbane home day care shut down as authorities investigate baby death

A home day care service in Brisbane’s south has been shut down as authorities investigate the death of a baby at the premises.

A five-month-old child died at the house in Wallace Street, Moorooka, yesterday.

Paramedics were called to the house about 11am and pronounced the baby dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious, the Queensland Police Service advised.

Officers from the Queensland Department of Education and Training are investigating.
