Three people hospitalised in multi-car Brisbane motorway crash

Emergency services have responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane’s south.

Police say about 4.20am two cars collided in the northbound lanes on the road at Rochedale near the Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road exit.

Three people – two men and a woman – were transported from the scene of the crash to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

All northbound lanes were closed between Miles Platting Road and Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road as emergency crews worked to clear the accident and traffic diversions have been put in place.

At around 9:45am, the lanes were reopened after the accident was cleared, however motorists have been told to expect heavy delays following the incident.

Police have also urged anyone with dashcam footage of the crash to contact authorities.
