Brisbane blanketed in heavy fog

Drivers and travellers have had to contend with thick fog blanketing parts of Brisbane, with traffic warnings issued and some flights affected.

Several international flights had to be diverted and some domestic flights were delayed this morning, Brisbane Airport advised.

Motorists have also been urged to take care on the roads, with the fog expected to lift by about 9am. 

More fog is possible tomorrow, the Bureau of Meteorology warned.
