CCTV captures massive high-speed crash at service station

CCTV has emerged of the moment a car travelling at high-speed slammed into a pole and collided with five other vehicles at a service station in the beachside Melbourne suburb of Brighton.

Authorities were called to the service station on Park Street around 3pm and cordoned off the scene a short time later.

CCTV from a nearby shop captured the moment the vehicle slammed into a pole before losing control and crashing into the other cars.

Witnesses have told 9NEWS the car may have been travelling more than 100km/h at the time of the crash.

Authorities have not determined the cause of the crash, although 9NEWS understands the driver may have suffered some sort of medical episode.

A man in his 50s, who has a suspected broken arm and leg injuries, was taken to the Alfred Hospital.

Another man, aged in his 30s, has also been taken to the Alfred Hospital.

A third person was taken to Sandringham Hospital in a stable condition.
