Body found in burned-out tent in Breakwater, Geelong

A body has been found in a burned-out tent in Geelong overnight.

Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at the Breakwater Road, Breakwater, camping ground shortly before 2am.  

Police are yet to formally identify the deceased and the arson squad is on scene.

Emergency crews extinguished the fire before discovering the body inside.

An investigation into the exact cause of death is ongoing.
