Police raid lawyer’s office in Brayden Dillon murder investigation

Detectives have raided a prominent Sydney law office as part of their investigation into the murder of Brayden Dillon.

Just after 2pm today, officers arrived at the Castlereagh Street location in Sydney’s CBD with a warrant to search the premises of a level four office.

9News understands the lawyer officers want to speak with was not present when the warrant was executed, but staff are cooperating.

Officers are speaking with staff and collecting boxes of evidence.

The raid comes after a sixth person was arrested over the 15-year-old’s murder in April last year.

Dillon was asleep in his Glenfield bedroom in Sydney’s southwest when he was shot in his bed.

The teenager’s alleged gunman Conrad Craig is accused of fabricating evidence to cover up the roles of his accomplices. A number of lawyers are being investigated in relation to this allegation. Police have not confirmed whether today’s raid relates to that allegation, and 9News does not suggest any connection.

Dillon’s murder is believed to be a revenge killing after his older brother Joshua allegedly stabbed Adam Abu-Mahmoud during a brawl in Panania, Sydney.

Adam’s uncle Abdul Abu-Mahmoud is accused of financing the “hit” on Dillon and was arrested earlier this month after he landed on a plane from Thailand.

His brother Mohamed Abu-Mahmoud was also arrested last week.
