Brawl breaks out at Sydney wedding reception
A Sydney wedding reception descended into chaos last night, when a brawl broke out amongst dozens of people and spilled into the street.
Police were alerted to the brawl at the Leichhardt function centre, in the city's inner west, about 10pm.
About 30 people were involved in the fight and punches were thrown, 9NEWS understands.
When officers arrived at the Catherine St centre they were told the brawl had ceased, but found a 43-year-old man with a broken nose.
A 26-year-old man became aggressive towards the officers and was arrested.
He has been issued with an infringement notice for offensive language and released pending further inquiries.
The injured man was treated by paramedics and taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
