Missing nine-year-old boy found safe and well in Rockhampton

A nine-year-old boy has been found safe and well in Rockhampton, after his disappearance sparked an Amber Alert.
He went missing from Kawana about 4.30pm AEST yesterday, and police issued a missing persons alert and then a major Amber Alert for him this afternoon.
The boy was found in Kawana about 3.20pm AEST today, police said in a statement.

"Police are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances with his disappearance," the statement read.
"The QPS would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with this matter."
