Boy critical after being hit by a car in Manly
A boy is critical after being hit by a car on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
The child, believed to be about 13, was struck at a slow speed on Pittwater Road in Manly, just after 3.40pm.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the boy suffered serious head injuries.

He was placed in an induced coma and airlifted to the Sydney Children's Hospital.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Eddie Freitas said the scene was "really difficult" for the emergency services crews in attendance.
"Anytime someone so young is involved it really hits home for our paramedics," Mr Freitas said.

"Even though it's believed this accident happened at a relatively slow speed, it just goes to show how careful drivers and pedestrians need to be on our roads."
The driver of a ute was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
