Mum of boy found wandering streets alone comes forward

The mum of a child found wandering the streets alone overnight in a Sydney suburb has been found.

Police said the boy, believed to be aged between nine and 11, was found alone in Wicks Lane at Kogarah at about 12.40am.

A search was commenced for the boy's parents and his mum contacted police just after 8am.

Police said she will be reunited with him shortly.
