Boy, 8, fighting for life after suffering ‘rare’ cardiac arrest

A young boy has suffered a “rare” cardiac arrest while at a dance class in Sydney’s south.
It is understood the eight-year-old collapsed during the class at the Sylvania Heights Community Centre yesterday afternoon.
Paramedics and the Careflight helicopter were called to the scene just before 6pm.

Crews were forced to use a defibrillator to revive the boy, and he was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
