Major crime detectives in South Australia are investigating links between the suspected murder of missing mother Jody Meyers and the case of missing man Daniel Hind.

Ms Meyers, 20, has not been seen since leaving a family barbecue in Ettrick on August 26.

The Mannum woman's mobile phone was last used on Friday August 28, the same day Mr Hind disappeared.

Ms Meyers' sisters thought it was a minor coincidence until they watched a news report on Mr Hind's last known movements.

"The house, I know who lives at that house that was on there," Tania Parsons said.

Ms Parsons recognised a Burton property where Mr Hind was last seen. It is occupied by a woman whom Ms Parsons said she went to school with.

"I've known her since I was in my teenage years. I've known her for quite a while," Ms Parsons said.

She recalled visiting the house within the past four years, while her sister Sarah Meyers said Mr Hind's face appeared familiar.

"I'd seen him somewhere. I don't know where. The name doesn't real ring a bell but the face does," she said.

Until now, Jody Meyers' partner Neil Archer, 29, had been the only person of interest in her disappearance, but he has insisted she drove off with a man and a woman in a red Nissan X-Trail.

He also told 9NEWS today Ms Meyers has friends in Adelaide.

He is unsure, however, if his missing partner had any association with Mr Hind, who lived at Paralowie.

"The last name sounds familiar. The first name not so much, but the last name does, I have heard the last name Hind before," he said.

Anyone with information about either case is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
