Man dies after falling from rock ledge on NSW South Coast

A man has died after falling off a rock ledge at a popular tourist spot on NSW's South Coast.

Emergency crews were called to Darien Avenue at Bombo Headland, approximately three kilometres north of Kiama about 3.30pm yesterday.

It's understood the man may have fallen while attempting to take photographs.

Police with assistance from Surf Life Saving and NSW Ambulance later located and pulled the 41-year-old man from the water.

Despite the efforts of paramedics the man died at the scene.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
