Body of missing swimmer found in NSW

The body of a woman who went missing after taking her dog for a walk and swim in the Murray River has been found.

About 1pm on Wednesday the 61-year-old went for a swim with her dog at Forges Beach No.1, west of Corowa on the NSW/Victoria border, where she was camping with her husband.

Her husband called police after the dog returned to camp without her.

Her body was found in the Murray River just before 2.30pm on Thursday.
