Body found near Jamberoo lookout
Police are treating as suspicious the death of a man found in bushland near the famous Jamberoo Mountain lookout south of Sydney yesterday morning.
The body of the man, aged in his 40s, was found near the top of the lookout around 8.45am.
A strike force has been formed to investigate.
State Emergency Services conducted a coordinated search of surrounding bushland and forensic investigators and police rescue officers also scoured the scene yesterday, the Illawarra Mercury reports.
Police have declined to say how the man might have died or release any further information.
A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
