Body found after man vanished in Murray River

A body has been found floating in the Murray River after a young man vanished in the water.
A 22-year-old man failed to surface after diving off a boat on the Murray River near Merbein Common about 5pm on Thursday.
A search was launched but the man could not be found.

When the search resumed yesterday morning, police divers found the man's body a short distance from where he was last seen.
A crime scene has been established and detectives have commended inquiries.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
