Body found in Esky in bushland near Cairns

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found in an Esky in Far North Queensland bushland.
Detectives recovered the body of the man in bush near the affluent suburb of Edmonton, south-east of Cairns.
Police were scouring the bushland for evidence, although the primary crime scene was established at a home in Lord Street, Edmonton.

A 32-year-old Edmonton man was charged and appeared in court this morning with murder and interference with a corpse.
Police believe the victim and the man charged knew each other.
