Body found in search for missing NSW camper
Searchers have found a body believed to belong to a missing NSW camper. (9NEWS)
A body believed to be that of a missing camper has been found in the state's Central Hunter region.
A 19-year-old man went missing about 9am on Monday when he left his campsite at McLeans Lookout to go for a walk.
The teen was on an overnight camping trip with a number of friends.
Emergency services were alerted when he failed to return and could not be located or contacted.
It was feared he had slipped and fallen off a cliff during his walk.
About 9am today, a body was located in bushland near McLeans Lookout.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
