Body found after reports of Brisbane fight
Streets have been shut down after a man's body was found on a Brisbane road following a violent assault.
Police have set up two crime scenes at Carina Heights - one where the body was found, the other at the scene of an earlier assault.
"A couple of streets are shut down here. There is some continuity between the two crime scenes," acting Inspector Shane Hancock said.
Officers were deployed to Idamea Street after receiving reports about a fight about 2.30am (AEST) on Wednesday.
The man's body was found a few blocks away in nearby Mons Road a short time later.
Insp Hancock said police were still trying to piece together what had happened, and were trying to minimise disruptions for residents.
Detectives and forensic officers remain at the crime scenes.
No details have been released about the dead man.
