Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke has delighted crowds at a Sydney Mother’s Day polo event after he broke out in song.
The 85-year-old former Labor leader was attending the polo event at the Kurri Burri Polo club on the Hawkesbury River when he graced the crowd with a seemingly impromptu rendition of Waltzing Matilda.
He stumbled over the classic Australian song at first, before the eager crowd joined in a chorus.

The former politician is no stranger to performance – he sang at the same event last year.
