Deaf Perth dad's body found after falling off boat

A Perth father has been found dead after falling off a boat during a birthday celebration.
Dean Chevron, 50, was on a hired houseboat in Mandurah with five other people.
The group was travelling from Pelicans Café towards the Old Mandurah Bridge, when Mr Chevron slipped and fell overboard.

His loved ones did not realise until too late.
The father-of-one was deaf, and may not have heard water police and volunteer rescue crews who spent hours scouring the inlet today.
His body was discovered about 2pm today.
His heartbroken wife had to identify him.
