Blacklist star Eggold to attend Cup

Star of the US drama The Blacklist Ryan Eggold will mingle with the A-list set in the birdcage at the Melbourne Cup.

Eggold, who plays Liz Keen's deceptive ex-husband Tom in the crime drama, will join Bold And The Beautiful star Ronn Moss and New York `It' girl, model Gigi Hadid, in the German-themed Emirates marquee on Tuesday.

"I've never been to Australia and jumped at the opportunity to go because it's somewhere I've always wanted to see," Eggold says.

"I've met many an Aussie, heard many beautiful things and am excited to see this part of the world."

Eggold will fly to Sydney after the Melbourne Cup for The Blacklist press duties.

The Blacklist screens on the Seven Network on Mondays at 8.40pm (AEDT).
