Queensland MP and domestic violence accused Billy Gordon is expected to be the focus of opposition attacks when state Parliament resumes tomorrow.

Liberal National leader Lawrence Springborg has said the matter is not “over or done with”.

The Cook MP has been accused by two women of assaulting them and not paying child support.

Mr Springborg said they needed to know when Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk had known about the allegations.

Mr Gordon, who is now an Independent MP, earlier today told the House he did not “knowingly mislead” Parliament when he said in March he no longer owed child support payments.

Mr Gordon could be referred to the ethics committee by Labor or the LNP, but doing so would mean the case cannot be spoken about in public.

Some have speculated the LNP would prefer to keep Mr Gordon away from the ethics committee so they can continue to use him to attack the government.

“They’re desperately clinging to power using the tainted vote of the member for Cook,” Mr Springborg said.

Ms Palaszczuk said it was the “same LNP” Queenslanders had voted out under former Premier Campbell Newman.
