The two groups representing Australia's biggest corporations and smallest businesses have joined forces to lobby for tax and industrial relations reform.

The Business Council of Australia and the Council of Small Business Australia on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding to work together on advancing shared goals.

As well as tax and workplace relations, the two groups - which together represent more than 350,000 businesses - also plan joint work on improving supply chains, skills and training, energy prices and reliability and business regulation.
