Best Labor plan since Whitlam: Plibersek
Labor will go the federal election in six days with what it claims is the most comprehensive policy plan from an opposition in more than 40 years.
That's the view of deputy leader Tanya Plibersek as she made a final campaign week pitch to voters.
"We've got the most comprehensive plan for government that we've seen from an opposition since the Whitlam years," she told ABC-TV on Sunday.
Labor leader Bill Shorten told a campaign rally in Brisbane Australia could not afford another three years of coalition government.
"The single biggest risk to the Australian economy in the next three years is three more years of a divided Liberal government," he said.
"We cannot afford a part-time prime minister who doesn't lead his own party totally."
