Woman dies after car ploughs into stationary truck

A woman has died after the car she was in smashed into a stationary truck near Bendigo in Victoria’s north-west.  

Police and emergency services are were called to the crash in Flora Hill about 1.30am this morning.

It is believed a sedan travelling south on Somerville Street struck a stationary north-facing truck near the Keck Street intersection.

A female passenger was treated by paramedics at the scene but later died.

The male driver of the car has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two men, occupants of the truck, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
