Battle of the billboards

How do you fill those minutes on the election campaign waiting for your respective party leader?

Watching mobile billboards battle it out.

Standing outside the centre in the inner-western Sydney seat of Reid, waiting for Labor Leader Bill Shorten, the media pack was treated to a political drive-by.

First it was a honking mobile billboard carrying the faces of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and local MP Craig Laundy.

Moments later it was another truck carrying the face of local Labor candidate Angelo Tsirekas.

By they went again, as they chased each other around the block.

And so it went on until they caught up to show a brief moment of bi-partisanship.
