Accused killer driver confronted outside Perth court
A family has faced their daughter's accused killer driver for the first time in a tense court eruption.
Evie Butterworth, 29, was allegedly high on meth, cocaine and cannabis and speeding up to 188 km/h on the Kwinana Freeway at Baldivis when she struck 21-year-old Abbey Sheriff's car on January 11.
Sheriff was on her way to a friend's house when her car was hit, sending her vehicle spinning onto a bike path when another driver collided with her.

She was already dead when paramedics and police arrived.
Butterworth has been charged with manslaughter and driving a car under the influence of drugs.
Today, she was heckled when arriving at Stirling Gardens Magistrate Court as the accused killer driver came face to face with the grieving family.
A large group stood outside the court as she arrived, chanting "justice for Abbey".
"I was shaking but I wanted to see her face," Sheriff's mother, Julie, said.
"She just stared back at me."

Court security guards then snuck the 29-year-old out a back exit to avoid a confrontation with the victim's family.
"It's just a gutless act to go out the back," Julie said.
"It's like they're protecting her."
Butterworth made a bid to ease her bail restrictions and pushed for her curfew to be removed.
That will be decided next month.
