Man's badly beaten body found at Gold Coast home

A man's body has been found at a home north of the Gold Coast this morning.

The 37-year-old was found inside the property on Foxwell Rd, Coomera around 4am, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports.

When emergency services arrived at the home they found the man had been badly beaten and was unconscious and not breathing.

They attempted to revive him but were unsuccessful.

Forensic officers are investigating the death, which is being treated as suspicious.

Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson said a man who lived at the home was taken to the police station and was assisting with the investigation.

"He's providing full version to detectives," Det Supt Hutchinson said.

"He's not a suspect.

"As you'd expect he's pretty traumatised by the whole situation."
