Baby boy hit by forklift in regional Victoria

A baby boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a forklift in southern Victoria.

Police said the accident happened after the nine-month-old crawled onto a factory floor at Moolap about 6.20pm this evening.

Ambulance officers transported him to Geelong Hospital and he will be flown to the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.

The baby was in a critical condition, an ambulance spokesman said.
