Australian Olympic team unveils competition uniforms
Australia's Chef de Mission Kitty Chiller has unveiled what our athletes will wear while competing and roaming around the Olympic village at this year’s Rio Games.
Athletic manufacturer Adidas has designed both the competition and village uniforms, which were officially revealed during an event in front of the Sydney Opera House this morning.
A host of star athletes, and Olympic hopefuls, showed off the designs, including hurdler Sally Pearson.
“We need to make sure we've got the best in climate technology, and the climachill technology provides that for our team,” the Chef de Mission said.
Adidas said the Australia team would be “light, fast and more energy efficient” due to new technologies used for the uniforms.
The team’s ceremonial uniforms, which were revealed last month, received a mix response from the public.
