Aust sends cyclone aid to Tuvalu

Australia will give the Pacific nation of Tuvalu $1 million for extra relief supplies and experts to help the clean up after the devastating Cyclone Pam.

There are already Australian humanitarian experts supporting logistics and water and sanitation needs and water and medical supplies are ready to go.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop told Tuvalu Prime Minister Enele Sopoaga on Thursday Australia would also support longer-term recovery and reconstruction efforts.
