Aussie victims of Nice attack to get compo

Australians injured in this year's terrorist attack in France may be eligible for up to $75,000 in compensation.

Attorney-General George Brandis says Australian resident harmed as a direct result of the July 14 tragedy could seek financial assistance under the Australian Victim of Terrorism Overseas Payment scheme.

At least five Australians were hurt when a lone attacker drove through the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, killing 84 people and injuring more than 200.
