Aussie rapper king-hit man so hard ‘police thought he was dead’
An Aussie rapper has been pleaded guilty to an unprovoked one-punch attack on a NSW beach.
Builder Ryan Gripton was leaving Pepe's Bar in Wollongong when he was attacked from behind by steel worker and rap artist Jake Sara.
Sara landed one punch and Ryan collapsed to the ground, smashing his head on a concrete gutter.
"The police when they arrived on the scene thought he was dead, they made a crime scene," Ryan's father Laurie told A Current Affair.
"They got everyone out of the club because they thought my son was deceased."
Photos and X-rays showed horrific damage to Ryan's skull and jaw.
Sara was arrested and charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm.
He initially pleaded not guilty, before reversing the plea.
Ryan said he was still recovering from the attack.
"I now suffer from constant headaches and dizzy spells from the concussion," he said.
"The coward punch has affected the way I see people, I worry that it might happen again to me, or my family or my friends, and it scares me."
Sara did not comment when approached by A Current Affair.
He will face a sentencing hearing in December.
