Aussie music fan takes tumble after ill-fated stage invasion

A Sydney man was left sore and humiliated after a stage invasion during a punk rock show backfired.

The man, who has not been named, was moshing during the set of legendary Australian punk stalwarts The Hard-Ons at Frankie's in the Sydney CBD before he crashed the stage.

Clearly living out his rock star fantasies, the excited fan dances briefly before trying to leap back into the crowd – but it's his jump that brings him undone and lying in pain on the dancefloor.

The footage, believed to have been shot in March, was uploaded to YouTube this week and shared on the Frankie's Facebook page.

"So this dumbass actually destroyed our stage cam with his ill-guided stage diving attempts. At least we still caught the rear perspective to share," the venue said.

Frankie's has been contacted for comment.

It is unknown if the man suffered any injuries other than a bruised ego.
