Auditors to probe World Vision Gaza books

World Vision has appointed external auditors to get to the bottom of allegations an employee in Gaza funnelled millions of dollars to militant group Hamas.
President of World Vision International Kevin Jenkins said the charity has suspended its Gaza operations to conduct a full review.
"World Vision's cumulative operating budget in Gaza for the past 10 years was approximately $US22.5 million, which makes the alleged amount of up to $US50 million being diverted hard to reconcile," Mr Jenkins said in a statement.
