Attempted sex attack in regional Victoria

A man dragged a woman into a drain and tried to take off her clothes in regional Victoria.

The 49-year-old woman was walking towards her car in Echuca on Monday when she was grabbed from behind.

The man pulled her into a culvert at 6.45pm and tried to take off her clothes.

The woman broke free by kicking the man's arm, and the man fled.

Sexual Crime Squad detectives have appealed for information to identify the man.
