Cleaner charged over alleged bashing and stabbing of elderly Sydney woman in her own home

A cleaner has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly bashed and stabbed an elderly woman in her own home Sydney's inner west.
Emergency services rushed to the 92-year-old's Ashbury home yesterday, after the victim pressed her panic button.

She was found bleeding heavily and taken to RPA Hospital in a serious condition.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested a couple of hours later and charged over the alleged attack.
The 35-year-old will face court today on serious assault charges.
