Armed robber demanded cash and cigarettes in Ipswich service station hold-up

Police are hunting an armed robber who demanded cash and cigarettes while threatening an Ipswich service station worker with a gun.  

Detectives have released footage of the Friday morning armed robbery, in the hope someone may recognise the man. 

He entered the Cunningham Highway, Yamanto station about 12.20am and used a firearm to threaten a male attendant, the Queensland Police Service said in a statement. 

The worker complied with his demands and the gunman then fled the scene.
