Powered by

Dry conditions have caused a bizarre sight in Queensland's west, with a dust storm blanketing the town of Charleville.

Residents filmed the apocalyptic phenomenon today, which saw the town turned an eerie orange as dust whipped through the region.

The Bureau of Meteorology said the event was caused by severe thunderstorms and recent dry, hot weather.
