Century-old Anzac memorial damaged in NSW park
An Anzac memorial statue was damaged this week in northern New South Wales, prompting a police appeal for information.
Police were told yesterday that the marble statue, depicting a soldier, in Walgett Memorial Park on Fox Street, Walgett, had suffered some damage.
They found its arm had been damaged and the marble rifle missing.

It's believed the statue was damaged between Monday and Thursday this week.
The memorial statue was originally imported from France in 1922.
Anybody with dashcam footage, CCTV, or information, is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
