Alleged thieves caught on CCTV after overnight burglary in Moreton Bay

Police are investigating after two men allegedly threatened a woman during a burglary at Scarborough, north-east of Brisbane, early today.

The men unlawfully entered the courtyard area of a two-storey unit on Landsborough Avenue and threatened the female resident, police allege.

Initial investigations suggest the 42-year-old woman walked into the courtyard after hearing a noise, and noticed a man standing near the stairs.

The woman closed the stairway gate, but was then allegedly threatened by the second man inside the courtyard.

He said he would harm her if she didn’t hand over money, police said

The woman then ran inside her unit and the pair fled the courtyard in a dark-coloured sedan.
